La presencia de artistas como Roberto Montenegro, Doctor Atl, Ixca Farias y Adolfo Best Maugard, jugo un papel importante en este momento. Aquellos ceramistas lograron una decoracion que afirmaba la herencia de su pasado y se convirtieron en precursores del movimiento de revaloracion de las artes populares mexicanas.

Between the 1920 and 1950, the pottery of Tlaquepaque engretada experienced a renaissance. The presence of artists like Roberto Montenegro, Dr. Atl, and Adolfo Farias Ixca Best Maugard, played an important role at this time. Those potters achieved a decoration that claimed the legacy of his past and became the forerunners of the movement of revaluation of Mexican folk art.

• Nice oversize art magazine featuring pottery from Tlaquepaque and vicinity from the early to mid 20th century. These attractive pots and plates were very popular souvenirs then, and commonly show up in antique shops now. I like them, maybe you do (or will) too.
  
  This is a special issue of Artes de Mexico magazine (#87), which has both Spanish and English text, and is bound as a typical good-quality art magazine. It does have a semi-stiff cover, with flaps. Mine has well-reproduced color photos and knowledgeable text. So far as I know, this is the only publication on this style of pottery. Recommended.
