• My 8 year old daughter loves these books. She's able to read one in a few nights before bed and move to the next. She can read all the words and understands the context. Really age appropriate and is helping her learn to love reading.
• Well I see some people have a problem with the language in the book. Please don't forget that this is from a little girls point of view and how some kids say and react to certain things. If you don't like them, then you should know right away from the first book that you pick up of Junie B.
  
  My daughter injoys these books. She does not want to put them down once she picks them up. I try to get her to read just one chapter a day but she wants to read two to three a day which is good but that means I have to buy the next set asap. She like the little mistakes that Junie B makes and points them out right away.
  
  This is a great way I think to get your child to start reading and into books. Yes it's a little weird seeing mistakes in a book but it's done like that for the child's entertainment. I already know I don't have a choice but to keep buying the sets because my daughter can't get enough of these books.
• My daughter (a 6 yr old reluctant reader) loves these books. They have completely captivated her attention and sparked a desire to read. These books are unlike anything she has ever read before and had her laughing out loud. The books do you words like "stupid" and "dumb" and I think that's part of the interest for her, b/c these words are not part of the vocabulary she is allowed to use, but she appreciates that Junie B has "alot to learn" and she likes having an excuse to say these "bad words" out loud.
• My granddaughter loves the Junie B Jones series of books. She's in the first grade & a beginning reader, so I bought the set for her for Christmas. Once she sits down with one of the books you can't get her attention because she is so engrossed in the story. I highly recommend these books for all beginning readers.
• My granddaughter was thrilled to receive these for Christmas! She is in the second grade and these books have really inspired her to become an avid reader. I knew she wanted them for Christmas but was thrilled with her reaction when she opened them! Her Mom has sent several pictures of her curled up with her books. I love that these are nurturing her love of reading at an early age.
• My eight year old daughter LOVES these books!! She is not a "reader" and I find it difficult to find books that she wants and enjoys reading. She will literally sit down and read half the book in one sitting, which is unheard of for her. Others have an issue with the language, however I don't find that it is an issue with my child.
• I purchased this set to read to my 5 year old. She loves hearing the many adventures of Junie B. Jones. I often find myself laughing outloud and I am reading some nutty thought Junie B. has had. She can say some of the most off the wall stuff! She is sure to entertain! The only thing I must warn is her grammer is not propper and she often says things many people wouldn't like their children to say. For example, in one of the books Junie is standing in her chair and her teacher tells her to sit down. A boy named Jim, who Junie always refers to as that stupid Jim, says "yeah sit down before you fall and your hard head breaks the floor" to which Junie makes a fist and tells him to shut up before she cracks his head open. Many times after reading these stories I have to have a conversation with my daughter about how we are to behave. As long as your child understands the correct way to talk and behave there should be no problem with them reading this series. Your child and you will have a great time reading these books.
• I bought three sets of Junie B Jones for my seven year old granddaughter. To my regret, I did not research the content of these books before buying. We only made it to the first 3 short chapters because the content was not appropriate. The words stupid, hate and wanting to give someone a knuckle sandwich is not the kind of language that we want our granddaughters to think are funny. They are not to use the words hate and stupid and they are definitely not taught that hitting someone is funny. I wouldn't be so negative if the words were used once, but they are used over and over. The attitude of this little girl, Junie B Jones, is not an attitude that I wish for my granddaughters to admire or think she is funny. I now have 3 sets, one is opened. I wish I never bought on line because the return rate is almost half the cost of the books.
